What is this course?
The ASNT NDT Level III program provides third-party certification for nondestructive testing (NDT) personnel whose specific jobs require knowledge of the technical principles underlying the nondestructive tests they perform, witness, monitor or evaluate.
Why is this course?
Certification under this program results in the issuance of an ASNT certificate and wallet card attesting to the fact that the certificate holder has met the published guidelines for the Basic and Method examinations
Roles and Responsibilities:
- An ASNT Level III certificate holder shall have the skills and knowledge to establish techniques, to interpret codes, standards, and specifications, and to prepare or approve procedures and instructions.
- An ASNT NDT Level III shall also have general familiarity with other nondestructive testing methods, shall can conduct or directing the training and examination of testing personnel in the methods for which the ASNT Level III is qualified and shall have knowledge of materials, fabrication, and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available.
